Product certificates and declarations
LINAK Actuators and Actuator Systems are designed and verified in accordance with the specific regulatory requirements and standards which are listed in the product specifications for LINAK products.
Compliance Data Management Program
LINAK is working with a third-party compliance partner who aligns with expanding requirements, automates processes, and delivers solutions that help companies stay compliant in an evolving regulatory landscape. LINAK suppliers will be contacted by the third-party management program and LINAK expects suppliers to respond to the request by documenting compliance with the specific requirements. Collecting environmental information is a major stake for LINAK as we also want the ability to provide this information further in our supply chain.
If any help in uploading declarations is needed, please contact chemicalcompliance@linak.com
Regulations, directives, and laws
LINAK is committed to providing our customers with products that meet a high standard of innovation, performance, and environmental safety. In order to achieve this target, it requires the ability to quickly adapt to new environmental regulations, directives, and laws, such as RoHS2, RoHS3, REACH SVHC, Conflict Minerals, CPSA etc.
REACH
The Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) is a European regulation on chemicals. The REACH regulation concerns LINAK business, which means that products that are supplied to LINAK must comply with this regulation, including when it is updated twice each year.

Proposition 65
Proposition 65 (Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) is a California law that requires businesses to notify Californians about significant chemicals that cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm. LINAK requires (where specified) suppliers to work towards eliminating as many of the Proposition 65-listed substances as possible from both current and future products they deliver to LINAK.

Conflict Minerals
LINAK requires suppliers who provide components or materials containing conflict minerals to actively work towards conflict-free sourcing. LINAK suppliers must perform their own RCOI and due diligence processes in order to facilitate valid and reliable conflict-free sourcing. We expect our suppliers to work with their own suppliers, in the same way, to ensure traceability of conflict minerals to the originating smelters. Proposition 65-listed substances must be listed from both current and future products they deliver to LINAK.
CPSA
The Consumer Protection Safety Act (CPSA) is a US Public Law that protects the public against unreasonable risks of injury from consumer products. The Consumer Product Safety Commission declares that any paint or surface coating must not contain a concentration of lead greater than 0.009 percent (90 parts per million).
Suppliers that sell paint or surface-coated parts to LINAK are obligated (where specified) to meet this regulation and must declare the concentration level of lead in their products.
IECEx / ATEX
ATEX is an EU directive governed by the EU while IECEx is a leading standard, both of which concern requirements for equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. LINAK actuators for the explosion-protected (Ex) industry require suppliers to comply with the IECEx standard and ATEX directive.
UL
LINAK suppliers (if applicable) are responsible for ensuring that all UL critical components and materials, as specified in the LINAK specifications, are developed in accordance with UL guidelines and all necessary records are maintained.
